First day tour of Quito!

Its been another long day! We woke up early and had breakfast at the hotel. Some really good sweet rolls with butter and this cool jelly that kind of resembled ketchup. Fresh squeezed juice is huge here! They served it for breakfast and they sell it all sorts of stands at the side of the road! Today the choice was between raspberry, pineapple, and papaya! There was also coffee (which tasted a lot more like espresso) and some scrambled eggs.
After that we took off to visit and art museum and then lunch (sadly the frew people I was with unknowingly picked a place very Americanish... so new true Ecuadorian food yet). After that we had a guided tour through historic downtown Ecuador.
Now Im sitting back at the hostel for a little while before a group of us go out for dinner. Were hoping to find somewhere a little more authentic!
The group is very diverse! Some people are here for school, some to volunteer, some for internships! And theyre from all over the world! There are about as many people from Australia as from the US and there are also people from Germany, Mexico, South Korea, Canada, and probably more that I cant think of right now! Im having a blast so far and it should be another exciting day tomorrow!
I posted pictures from throughout the day with comments!
